Swap “islam” for “anti-western progressive utopianism” and the message is just as valid. In the only sense that matters, radical islam = progressivism. Same sense of entitlement, same insulted outrage, same “my way only” attitude, same willingness to treat all others as objects to be subjugated and discarded. The west has no room for either version. Perhaps Turkey could become the new homeland for both — suitably isolated from the rest of the planet, of course.
