“Native Americans incensed over pro-gun rights billboard in Colorado” | protein wisdom: "As for being singled out without their consent, let me just remind the Native American community that they don’t own American history. Nor do I ever remember them complaining about singled out “without their consent” for being routinely depicted as wise reluctant warriors — stewards of the earth, one solitary tear at a time — who are pitted against profane, knuckle-dragging ultra violent whites bent on extermination.
So you take the good with the bad — and more importantly, if you really do, as you claim, understand the billboard’s message, then why feign outrage over a perceived slight you don’t believe was intended, but rather only exists in the realm of your own perceptions and the imagined perceptions of those hypothetical viewers you believe to be less adept than you at sussing out the meaning you’ve been able to suss with little trouble?"
Well, yeah, it's certainly a billboard against the Indians ... surrendering at all never mind their guns!

Fake Activist ‘Liberal Chick’ Gets Gullible College Students to Sign Petition Banning Pressure Cookers | NewsBusters: "Of course, there are certainly many people out there who support banning any number of things deemed to be dangerous by anyone. “If it only saves one life” goes the common refrain. To test that proposition out, fake left-wing activist “Liberal Chick” took to the Florida International University campus to see if she could get students to sign a petition to ban pressure cookers, the devices used in the Boston Marathon bombing but normally used for cooking tasty food.
Given that this was a college campus, the enthusiasm of the naive students to sign up is unsurprising. It is still pretty funny though as you can see in the video below:"

“Lesbian Activist’s Surprisingly Candid Speech: Gay Marriage Fight Is a ‘Lie’ to Destroy Marriage” | protein wisdom: "But I’ve also pointed out for years that the true objective of the movement — as it has been repeatedly laid out by queer theorists and activists, back before they believed anyone was listening, and back before they changed their tactics of denouncing traditional marriage — is to deconstruct the institution of marriage by pretending to embrace it as a “civil right,” then opening it up until it becomes legally non-exclusionary. At which point our social desire to differentiate will be trumped by the legal prohibition to do so — a move that portends widespread legal changes. Fundamental transformation, if you will. All one can say anymore is "Du'O", isn't it?
And I know this because they’ve told me that’s what the plan is — even though many of them have since tried to walk that back now that they’ve achieved the kinds of mainstream gains they couldn’t foresee in the heady days of angry queer theory and in-your-face existential protest."

Why would anyone on the Left disapprove of the Boston Marathon Bombers simply because they attacked America or tried to maim and dismember people? That was how Bill Ayers got his start in life.Orwell? Orwell is spinning in his grave now realizing what an innocent he was about the gap between himself and Huxley.
But it might have been a hanging offense to point out that Tsarnaev could insult Martin Luther King or beat a women. If someone can find a homophobic utterance by either brother or show they ate transfat cooked foods or drank softdrinks larger than 16 ounces then it will be all we can do to keep the surviving sibling from being lynched.
It’s not ridiculous. It’s not absurd. That’s how the liberation theology people attacked Christianity. That’s how Gramsci marched through the institutions. It works. Now that the Left is the Establishment what to do but beat them over the heads with their own rulebook?
Now Comrades, will you act? Will you learn the language of the narrative and speak in its terms?"

Did FBI miss warning signs of Boston bombing suspect? – The Lead with Jake Tapper - CNN.com Blogs: "This week was not the first time the FBI had heard of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older Boston Marathon bombing suspect who died after a shootout Friday morning. The FBI now says that "a foreign government" - Russia, or more specifically the Russian FSB, successor to the KGB - asked the bureau to check him out in early 2011, warning that Tsarnaev was a "follower of radical Islam," and "a strong believer," and may have been planning to leave the U.S. to join an underground group.
Intelligence sources tell CNN it is "rare" for Russians to reach out like that, to ask the FBI to look into someone as they did with Tsarnaev."

Boston bombers: FBI hunting 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev - Mirror Online: "More than 1,000 FBI agents were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.
A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.
“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”"

Amazing New Details from the Chase for the Boston Bombers | The Weekly Standard: "The police chief, Edward Deveau, describes how cops nearly apprehended the older suspect, and were placing handcuffs on him in the middle of the street Thursday night, when the younger suspect came at officers in a carjacked SUV. The cops were able "to dive out of the way," and the younger suspect then continued to drive directly over his brother and dragging him through the street. That's how the older suspect died, according to the police chief.A-hah. I'm betting that the older brother was the cell leader and had given his younger brother instructions to kill him if he was in danger of being captured. I'm further betting that the trail to finding their handlers goes cold rather quickly...
The younger suspect eventually dumped the SUV and ran into the darkness of the night, according to the police chief. It took nearly 18 hours and massive manhunt to find the younger suspect. He gave himself up after a 20-minute negotiation with the FBI, he said, but not before the suspect fired more rounds at the authorities."

That's hard to do in a democratic republic, especially one that is closely divided between right and left, as evidenced by the swings in election results between 2004 and 2006, 2008 and 2010 and 2010 and 2012--not to mention that 2012 re-elected both a Democratic president and a Republican House.
In an effort to overcome this close division, the left has resorted to a kind of thuggish majoritarian rhetoric in which a putative minority is demonized in the hope of uniting the majority against it. The most well-known example is the Occupy Wall Street effort, which made a scapegoat of "the 1%" in the hope of unifying 99% of the population against it. Another example is "white males," a minority by definition, whose demonization is supposed to unite women and all other ethnic groups."

EXCLUSIVE: Adam Lanza's murder spree at Sandy Hook may have been 'act of revenge' - NY Daily News: "NOSEITALL15 minutes ago So Adam Lanza...Bingo.
- was bullied at school
- was mentally unbalanced
- had a mother who accumulated deadly weapons of all sorts
- had a mother who encouraged him to fire deadly weapons
- played violent video games all day
- dressed in camouflage and acted out violent video games, and
- had access to firearms and other weapons.
So what do liberals propose as a solution? Taking guns away from normal, law-abiding citizens!
Funny, they never mention the liberals' push to de-institutionalize the mentally ill in the 1980s and 1990s.
These school shootings, which are surely great tragedies, are a tiny percentage of homicides in the US. Most gun violence is committed by liberal Democrats, in cities run by liberal Democrats.
What scares liberals the most is Democrats with guns in their cities. Liberals don't fear middle- or upper-income Republicans owning guns to protect their lives and property.
But of course, liberal Democrats can't come out and say that they fear their own constituents without losing an election, so they feign outrage at the NRA and Republicans. "

Mom is livid. “How dare your boss do that! You’ve been a great employee. Well, if we have to retrench, I’ll show him! And I’ll make you suffer too for working for such a cheapskate.”
Here’s what Mom does not do: Mom does not pay her mortgage or credit bills on time; she does not pay attention to turning out the lights; she does not make sure to buy food she wants and then use that food; she does not curb her occasional impulse clothes spending; and she makes no effort to pay attention to parking meters.
Here’s what Mom does: she tells the kids they’re never going to Disneyland again; she starts serving only Mac ‘n Cheese from a box; she only buys the family clothes from goodwill; and she constantly tells them that it’s not her fault that their lives have become so miserable.
