Nowadays, though, American politicians truly seem to believe that getting elected is carte blanche for white-collar crime and political malfeasance. And while it’s true that Republicans are less likely to commit these crimes (in part because Democrats are more likely to prosecute them in politically inspired witch hunts), the fact is that they all do it."
